Medals of Shame
Vancouver's Masumi Mitsui served at Vimy, was awarded the Military Medal for bravery and, in 1926, founded B.C. Branch No. 9 of the Royal Canadian Legion. None of it kept him from being branded an enemy alien in 1941.
